Le Room Service: Interview with our CEO’s of Eatable Adventures

This week, we talk to Eatable Adventures, a company dedicated to boosting the most talented food startups like Le Room Service, with whom we have collaborated in the past through its Accelerator Programme.

Le Room Service’s business model

In the interview we commented on the problems that managing room service poses for hotels: it disrupts the flow of food and beverage services (F&B) in those that have room service, it involves a large staff load and implies expenses in those hotels that do not have kitchen service.
Le Room Service was founded in 2017 as a company specialising in the outsourcing of F&B services for hotel rooms, aparthotels and tourist flats. Our main objective was to offer a profitable alternative to room service through operational innovation and specialisation in gastronomic trends.

Le Room Service Value Proposition

Le Room Service makes the service more attractive, improving the hotel offer and achieving higher sales, adding value to the hotel sector in several ways. Today, we operate with more than 300 hotel establishments, including groups such as Meliá, NH, Vincci, Iberoestar, Turim and Barceló in Seville, Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon.

We focus on bringing value to the hotel sector in 5 areas:

  • Improved profitability
  • New customer experience
  • Disruptive concept
  • Standardisation of processes
  • Increased valuation, which allows hotels to focus on their core business

Our beginnings in the EA Acceleration Programme

When we started the Eatable Adventures Programme we were at a very early stage of the project. However, we already had the first positive results that validated the viability of our business model.
This participation helped us in different ways to professionalise our project. We drew up a medium-term plan, set objectives and monitored them. One of the aims of this plan was to obtain a round of investment for the national expansion of Le Room Service. This later materialised with the opening in Madrid, the second location after Seville. On the other hand, Eatable Adventures opened doors for us through its network of contacts.

Future plans for Le Room Service

We are currently immersed and focused on our international expansion, we have just opened a new location in Lisbon and we are working on future openings in Berlin and Paris. In addition, we are also growing horizontally in services; we no longer only offer Room Service, but we are now a more comprehensive solution for Food & Beverage departments, giving the possibility to complete the hotel’s offer with breakfast, events or lobby services.
On the other hand, we are immersed in a rebranding process with the aim of adapting to the new positioning that the business requires in this new stage. We have designed a new exclusive packaging that raises the brand perception and allows us to operate without barriers in 5-star hotels.
We are at a time of many changes, which we are facing with enthusiasm and with the conviction to bring them to a successful conclusion.
